Crikey!

I was in Waitrose last weekend and discovered Bundaberg root beer. Its from Australia, and comes in a nice 4 pack. Its a very middle of the road root beer, not too sweet, but it also didn't have a huge amount of sarsaparilla flour. This makes it very drinkable, and a good introduction to root beer for those a little unsure of the sarsaparilla flavoring. It's good to know there's another brand easily available in supermarkets, but I think I'd take something with a little more kick as a first choice.

Home Run

I thought recently that a long sleeve raglan baseball tee would make a good transitional piece for spring into summer now that its starting to get a bit warmer. I don't normally go for Topman stuff as there disposable fast fashion is generally pretty terrible, but for £12 this was too good a deal to pass up. I used to wear a lot of long sleeve tees when I was a teenager so this is a bit of a throw back for me. I'll probably pair it with some khakis and white sneakers for a fresh spring fit.

Shipping up to Boston

Last weekend I got back on the root beer and picked up a bottle of AJ Stephans. Judging from their old school website they're a pretty small company, making soda since 1926. I particularly liked their claim to be 'New England's Best Tonic'. It was pretty good, but was very sweet and took a little away from the sarsaparilla flavour. I think I preferred the Fitz's that I had previously (read about it here. ) I definitely need to get over to Cyber Candy more often and try some more brands.

Some Dude...

The April GQ arrived yesterday featuring their now annual style bible GQ100 list. Its a pretty good list with some interesting ideas and products. Unfortunately I got the cover with some dude from Game of Thrones on, which I don't watch so I have no idea who he is. Fortunately some of my favourites are featured as well, Adam Scott from Parks and Rec, JJ Redick from the Clippers, and I always have time for Skateboard P.

Red or Black?

Last time I was back in Cambridge visiting my Mum she gave me this old tie of my Dads that she had found. I was initially a little hesitant of the red on black as its a little harsh. However I am a sucker for a paisley print so thought I'd give it a try. Wearing it with a neutral white shirt and grey sweater tones down the print, but then throwing on the red khakis brings out the colour. I haven't been able to find out anything about Lorenzo Medici, except that he was a 14th Century Italian statesman, but nothing about making ties.
