A Summer Wedding...
Last weekend I attend one of my oldest friends weddings at a country house in Cambridge. I initially thought it would be a good occasion to wear the pink blazer I picked up a couple of months back (I'm sure it will feature sometime soon), but decided to go for understated in the end.
Banana Republic navy suit and dress shirt, Hugo Boss bow tie, M&S pocket square and vintage cuff links that belonged to my Grandfather.

Trailblazers...
Now that summer seem to be finally here I've been able to put away my sweaters and break out the blazers to wear to work in the mornings when its still a bit cold. I've wanted something in grey for a little while and as there's a chance that the sun might actually stick around for a while I thought a linen blazer would be a good look. I saw this in Banana Republic a couple of weeks back and after some careful consideration decide to go for it. I love the pale grey colour and the contrast of the bright blue lining. Its a linen/cotton mix so its more structured than a pure linen blazer, making it a little smarter and giving it an awesome texture.

Funny People...
The June issue of GQ arrived this week (US edition) with James Franco on the cover. Its the annual comedy issue so its a little light on style but big on laughs. I particularly liked the guide to dressing for weddings as I have a wedding to attend in two weeks (although I already have my outfit picked out and had referred back to a wedding guide from the June 2011 issue that was very similar). British comedy is well represented by Ricky Gervais, Chris O'Dowd & John Oliver which is good to see. Pick it up now at places that stock import magazines.
