Winter Wonderland

I gave my winter work wardrobe a bit of a refresh this week, picking up a couple of bits from Banana Republic. Winters all about texture and warmth, so I started with a Slim-Fit Luxe Flannel shirt in navy and grey. Its in a thin flannel, with a button down collar which makes it perfect for the office.

I love maroon, especially for the holiday season, so grabbed a merino crew neck sweater. While you normally see a v-neck with a shirt and tie I really like how a crew neck looks with a tie, giving it fresher modern look. I also added an indigo wool/tweed tie which has a great combination of texture and colour. So now I'm all set for the winter months.

Ben Wyatt, Human Disaster.

I love Parks and Rec, its just the best show on tv at the moment. And while all of the show is awesome, one of my favourite little things has been Adam Scotts great selection of checked shirts. He has a very easy prep, J Crew-esq style that works really well in a casual office, much like the one I work in. So deciding I wanted to add a few more checks to my wardrobe I hit up Banana Republic and grabbed this micro check slim fit shirt.

We're in the strange cross over period between Summer and Autumn collections at the moment so they didn't have a massive selection, but I'll definitely be seeing what other styles will be coming in for Fall. Its in their non-iron material, which really does work, I've worn it a twice already and it comes straight out of the wash crease free and ready to wear.

Grey Suede for Summer

I picked these up from Banana Republic probably two months ago, but I've only been able to really wear them the last week or so, as before that I was almost guaranteed to get rained on. A great suede shoe with a proper sole, not the foam that a lot of high street stores are using at them moment (I'm look at you Aldo).  Click below for more pictures.
